Use Motivational Quotes To Achieve Success And Attain Goals

By Luuke Karatas

A great life consists of keeping your eyes on the distant mountains of your life purpose while continuing to put one foot in front of the other along the path of everyday life. However, it is all too easy to lose sight of the goal and get lost in everyday frustrations, angers and disappointments.Including daily reminders of your life purpose in each day's routine can help keep your focus on your goals. Great reminders can include meditation, prayer, yoga, positive affirmations, and also daily inspirational quotes.
[Motivational Quotes]

Inspirational quotes are typically fragmentary thoughts, taken out of context, that are best used to get you thinking about their underlying meaning and about the big commitments and values of your life. As an example, let's take a look at President Franklin Roosevelt's quote, "The only thing we have to fear is fear itself - nameless, unreasoning, unjustified terror." Those words were a part of President Roosevelt's First Inaugural Address on March fourth 1933, in the depths of the Great Depression. But is it necessary to understand the context in order to appreciate the thought and apply it in your life? Not only is the context not necessary, but in my opinion, it actually makes it more difficult to focus the inspiration on your own issues around fear.

Motivational quotes are usually written or spoken by famous personalities from different walks of life. These quotes have come from religious texts, philosophical scriptures, or even from political figures and influential business personalities throughout time. Good quotes motivate and inspire us in our daily lives. They enable us to gain the confidence that is sometimes lacking within ourselves. The wisdom you gain is something that you can treasure forever.

There is often disagreement over the source of an inspirational quote. For example, Martin Luther King Jr. may or may not have said, ""Faith is taking the first step even when you don't see the whole staircase." Mark Twain quite likely did not say, "Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do." Does it make an inspirational quote less meaningful or less inspirational because the author is unknown? For me, the value of inspirational quotes is mostly in the words, and how I can apply them to my own life, rather than in historical context. I find the Faith quote and the Twenty Years quote to be two of the most inspiring and motivating quotes I have found - whoever their authors may have been.

Shakespeare was very thoughtful when he said that there is nothing like bad or good but our thinking can make it so. We must take our responsibility to clean grimes from our windows. We must accept the consequences when we don't clean the glass but look towards our life through that smeared glass only. Otherwise we must show courage and clean our window by taking out our squeeze. This will make our dreams alive again.

Many sites are of boring nature and it concentrates on amount of quotes rather than its worth. Top sites will deliver some old quotes of values. According to me, the principle of the site is that the quotes should be motivational. It should be forceful, profound and should produce vibration within you. It means that the words should be good one.The trouble in it is the websites that say that they have the best quotes are the sites who has least number of quality quotes. We have to read infinite quotes to choose the best 100 among them. Some sites will rejoice that they have about thousand's quotations available; do you wish to read every quote available? Definitely no, the way to get the best is to get the site that had taken some of the best quotation from lot of other sites and condensed them into a single site. It means get a quote site that contains good one.

It is obvious that it is not necessary for everyone to like the given quotes in the best site. Few sites are glad to offer smaller number of quote with the best one that is available. It is not possible for you to like each quote that you read. If you came through some 200 quotes and you feel among that 100 is good, then that website definitely has some valuable inspirational quotes in them. Valuable and quality quotes in small number are better than huge number of uninspiring quotes. So, when searching for quotes look into websites that have less number of quality and inspirational quotes.

One of the other problems with motivational quotes is that everyone has heard them nowadays. There was a time when most of this stuff was original, but due to the speed of how things progress on the internet, most of the really good quotes are vastly overplayed, and seriously overuse.I think part of the reason is that a motivational quote sort of says something indirectly, or by implication that is more powerful, because it is describing something that you cant really put into words, rather liker parables.

The power of a lot of stories, like quotes is in their meaning that goes beyond words, both in their literal meaning, but also in that that meaning touches us in away that is significant and often goes quite deep in our psyche. The reason people use motivational quotes so much, I think is because they have heard or read something that they find very significant and has affected them quite deeply in some way, and they want to share it, which is a very natural tendency. Problem is that you cannot share an experience in words or any other way really. Once you start trying to, you lose it and that is the problem with motivational quotes, they actually end up looking a bit cheap, which is quite the opposite effect of what you wanted in the first place.
